| Summary: | Developments in science and technology in modern times as opposed to
positivism, consequently humans only approximated by the empirical method and the
more human side shifted, so people need to know his true identity. The title of this
research is the Self Concept and Relevance to Human Development in Indonesia. The
main purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of the concept of human identity
by Murtadha Muthahhari and argued its relevance to development in Indonesia.
This research is library research. The material object in this research is the
human identity in the masterpieces of Murtadha Muthahhari. The formal object of
this research is anthropological philosophy. The method of research is a hermeneutic
method, including the interpretation and Verstehen. Researcher also uses heuristics
method in analyzing Muthahhari thoughts about human identity in order to find the
relevance of Muthahhari thoughts of human identity and the development in
Indonesia.
The results of this research are the human need to recognize their identity.
The concept of multidimensional human is important to human dimensions which are
dimensions of knowledge, virtue ethical, aesthetic, and spirituality in developing his
physical and spiritual elements. Dimensions of human development should be based
on faith as the supreme norm or ethics, supreme consciousness, orientation in view of
the human skeleton which requires all dimensions of human development, the use of
wisdom, knowledge and the will of man to achieve a prosperous future and the nature
of humanity. Human identity is essentially always in the formation of the personal,
historical and social aspect which go along with the development of dimension values
in human beings. Dimensions development in human is the basic value in facing the
challenges of development in the nation, so it is a great effort and relevant to the
socio-cultural, moral, environmental and religious life in Indonesia. |
