Summary: | Culture and organizational commitment plays an important role in the
organization, including in hospitals that need to be further investigated existence and the relationship between them. Research on organizational culture and commitment interesting to do in Dr. Sardjito Hospital because this hospital has a long standing and has a lot of human resources. In addition, the hospital has a clear program to build its human resource commitment. This study aimed to determine the effect of organizational culture consisting of involvement, consistency, adaptability, and mission to the mission commitment of the organization.
This research is non-experimental with associative approach. The data was
collected using a questionnaire organizational culture (Denison models) and
organizational commitment. The validity and reliability of the instrument was tested using factor analysis and Chronbach alpha. Eighty-one questionnaires from Center Administration employee were obtained and analyzed to verify the hypothesis by linear regression and Pearson's correlation coefficient.
All aspects of organizational culture in Dr. Sardjito Hospital is high. Highest
value found in component adaptability, followed by engagement, mission, and
consistency. However, development and coordination and integration capabilities indexes were moderate. Employee commitment to the Dr. Sardjito Hospital was classified high.
The components that compose even in the high category. Affective component ranks first, followed by a normative component, whereas continuance components is at the bottom.
All existing hypotheses in this study are proved. Involvement, consistency, adaptability, and mission, has positive effect on organizational commitment. |
