Have a reliable warrior are the ideals of the military, then in order to achieve that
goal, the role of the wife as a companion of the army is absolutely necessary. The
presence of women as wives in the battalion, it requires women to observe various
rules that were in it.. The three points of the rules that are the focus of this research is
the ability to follow the wife in the family planning program, following the Kartika
Chandra Kirana Persit Organization and follow her husband live in a military
barracks.
Using the theory and methods of research with the perspective of women, this
research tried to uncover the lives of women in the military culture that embraces
hierarchical system. This study was descriptive qualitative. The research was carried
out in 403 infantry dormitories Batlyon Yogyakarta with a case study on
Organizational Persit rifle LIX B 403 Infantry Battalion. Techniques of data
collection was in-depth interviews with the six informants, observation and
documentation of data related to the regulation battalion. Informants selected were
from three social strata ranging from the husband's rank officers, NCOs and enlist the
lowest is. Key informants of this study was the wife of an officer who served as
commander of Company Capital rifle / Twig mother Rifle Company. Data analysis
was carried out by researchers using a method. Data reduction, b. Display of data, c.
Conclusions are done from the beginning to the end of the study .
Results of this study indicate that (1) Application of rules to follow family
planning program, following the Kartika Chandra Kirana Persit Organization and
follow her husband live in the dorms has been performed well (2) Rule effect on the
lives of wives battalion soldiers, such as the existence of social stratification and the
division of domestic roles because there are system and socila structure in the
household (3) Consequently, army wives are required to accept the changes to make
the process of adoption and adaptation. Form of adaptation is performed by a soldier's
wife adaptation of social interaction and adaptation of communication styles. |
