Dogs have known as human best pals at this time with a variety of roles and functions. In the maintenance and carrying out its duties, the dog is very susceptible to injury. The existence of these injuries causes many losses, so handling should be done right and quickly. Binahong leaf is used traditionally for a long time ago, but less practical, unlike the medicine form such as ointment. The objectiveof this study was to determine the effect of treatment withbinahong leaf ointmentfraction hexane extractconcentration 5% and 10% of thewounded dogskin.Four local female dogs were used and treated by ivermectin anthelmintic one week after the dogs were left to adapt. Three incision wounds were made by lege artison the paracostal of the abdomen right side of each dog along a 6cm in the vertical direction. Those three incision were coded A, B, and C sequenced from the back to the front.Code A was a control, code B was treated by binahong leafointmentfraction hexaneextraction of 5%, and code C was treated by binahong leaf ointmentfraction hexaneextraction of 10%. The observations of wound healingwas done visuallywith parameters such as swollen of wound, redness of wound, the wetness and the linkage on both sides of the woundfor seven days. Primary wound healing was achieved in all groups. Code C incision wounds (treated bybinahong leaf ointmenthexaneextraction fraction10%) was faster and better than code B (treated by binahong leaf ointmenthexane extraction fraction5%),and code A (control). Thus, binahong leaf ointment hexane extraction fraction of 10% is recomended to be used to treat wounds in dogs.
