Summary: | Indonesia is a tropical or a hot country, therefore Indonesia has areas that
the state of the air is not the same, some areas have cold air and other areas have
hot air that causes maintenance of chicken was not entirely successful.
Management factor in the maintenance of the chicken and the disease hold a very
important role to the success of a chicken farm. Management of improper
maintenance and the changing temperatur environmental holds very important
role on the arise of the disease, especially in chickens with the level of high
sensitivity to changes occurring around them, as well as in laying hens. The aims
of final project writing is to determine the correlation between maintenance
management factors to Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) in pullet poultry farm
UD. Jatmiko Cebongan Kidul, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta.
The material used in this final project was based on observations made at
UD. Jatmiko. The methods of data collections are observations and interviews at
UD. Jatmiko Cebongan Kidul, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta for one week (11 until
March 15, 2013).
The maintenance management factors of pullet chickens that most affect
appearing of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) in UD. Jatmiko is cage
management. The improper of management cage such as the location close the
residential areas, the distance between the bamboos as a floor cage that is too
close, the application of curtain cage that opens continously, and the absence of
isolation cage as a precaution against the spread of disease despite a precautions
against of disease such as vaccination, treatment and desinfection of the cage has
been well implemented. The use of the feeder tray which is too small, in the feed
management, not effect on the achievement of uniformity of chicken live weight. |
