If no saving measures, the use of the motor - this motor will cause energy waste. In addition to the installation of motors - an electric motor is still using conventional means. The use of contactors can cause motor starting inrush current when first turned on. Starting surge large enough also affects the unnecessary consumption of electrical energy. In situations where the electrical energy needs continue to rise, depleting its resources inventory, and the cost of energy continues to rise. One effort saving electrical energy consumption is by modifying the control techniques. Variable Speed Drive (VSD) to control the starting current by controlling the rotation speed by changing the frequency of the input so that an attempt can be made considerable energy savings. This study conducted an analysis of the use of electric energy consumption on public facilities in industrial pumps include recommendations related to energy savings, electoral calculation, and analysis of energy savings.
