Summary:The implementation of fieldwork practice done at the RSH. Soeparwi Yogyakarta with the objective to increase insight and science on the manner of handling health of rabbits. The making of this paper is based on January-September 2012 ambulator data takings at RSH. Soeparwi. Rabbits� livestock is one of breeder�s most valued assets. Besides a favourite animal, rabbits produces high-protein and low-cholesterol meat as well. Furthermore, rabbits also produces fur skins and wool, they are used as experimental animal in medical and pharmacy field, and their feces and urine are used as high-quality organic fertilizer for vegetable and flower plants. Various kind of rabbits has been bred in Indonesia, such as Lops, Fuzzy, Rex, Angora, New Zealend, Netherland Dwarf, Satin, and Flamish Giant. Rabbits could deliver 10-11 times a year averaging on 6-7 bunnies on each delivery. The number of rabbit patients at RSH. Prof. Soeparwi during January-September 2012 period is 117 patients. From the figure of 117, there are 72 cases of scabies, 14 cases of enteritis, six cases of vulnus, four cases of abscess and bloat, three cases of rhinitis, two cases of hypocalcemia, conjungtivitis, nerve paralysis, malnutrition, and dermathopytosis, and one case of fracture, myasis and myopathi. The handling of disease cases on rabbits generally for scabies is using ivermectin and duradyl, enrofloxacin and metronidazole for enteritis cases, bioplacenton for vulnus cases, dexamethasone for abscess cases, dysflatil and B-plek vitamin for bloat cases, chepalexin and duradyl for rhinitis cases, elkana and enrofloxacin for hypocalcemia, biosalamin and amoxicillin for conjungtivitis, neurobion for nerve paralysis, B-plek vitamin for malnutrition ketoconazole for dermathopytosis, calcii laktat for fractures, Kl infusion for myasis, and biosalamin and neurobion for myopathi cases.
