Description
Summary:Strongylosis in calved caused by worms from superfamily strongyloidea, trichostrongyloidea and ancylostomatidea. Strongylosis inhibited growth of the calf. This research was conducted to determine the prevalence and identify risk factors strongylosis in calf in Boyolali. Feces samples were taken from 335 calves belong to 333 farmers in 5 sub district in Boyolali. Sample were taken according multistage random sampling, simple random sampling to choose location and farmers, cluster random sampling was applied to choose calves at farmer level. Questioner list was used to collect the risk factor from the farmer. Laboratorium diagnosis to determine strongylosis was done base on floatation method and McMaster method to calculate the number of egg in feces. Data were analize by descriptive statistics and risk factor analysis conducted the association test (2)and the strength of their association were calculated by odds ratio (OR). This research found the prevalence of strongylosis in calves in Boyolali was 33.75%. Risk Factors associated with strongylosis in calved were age and sex.
