The hair condition of a dog is one of several indicators that could describe the health status of the dog. Medical examination hair can be seen in a clinically and laboratories. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical and laboratories description of the healthy dog�s hair. Five dog�s hair which clinically healthy were used in this study. The methods used in this study consisted of clinical examination and laboratories of hair by examination of the histology tissue preparation of hair samples. The obtained data then analyzed descriptively. The result of the examination those five samples are shining, strong/not brittle, having smooth and soft texture in the absence of inflammation. The result of the histological examination those three samples exhibit a vacuolated medulla, cortex is made by thick and strong layer arrangement, and the cuticle is smooth and flat. On the other hand, the two other samples demonstrates the cuticle is uneven and the cortex layer arrangement becomes less compact. Based on the result of this study conclude that healthy hair has a clinical appearance looks shiny and not brittle, and histological appearance of vacuolated medulla, the cortex is made by thick and strong layer arrangement and the cuticles is smooth and flat.
