Summary:Heat exchanger trainer made to determine the heat loss that occurs in the heat exchanger. Heat exchanger trainer consist of a water pump to circulate the water, tank heater are furnished by the water heater, mixer to stir the water, evaporator as a heat exchanger equipped with a fan to blow air on evaporator, pipes for water flow, current gauge, flowmeter and recervoir as a water reservoir. The working of this heat exchanger is recorded temperature after passing through the evaporator. Then calculated heat loss that occurs in the evaporator. Calculation of heat loss is calculated based on the variation in speed of exhaled air to the evaporator fan and the variation of water flow through the evaporator. Based on the analysis of calculations data. Heat generated by the system of 1,548 kW, while the heat dissipated through the heat exchanger of 1,426 kW. Then the heat loss that occursin the heat exchanger was 7,88 %.
