Summary:Helminthoporium leaf blight is an important disease on maize. The disease has widespread thoughout Indonesia. Therefore, it must be managed using a resistant variety and chemical control. The objective of this study is to know the resistance of several maize varieties against Helminthosporium leaf blight disease and the effective fungicide for control the disease. The research was conducted in the farmer�s field at Kambingan, Kediri, East Java, and in laboratory of Pesticide Toxicology and the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Plant Protection, Gadjah Mada University, from January - June 2013. The field experiment was arranged with RCBD (Randomized Complete Block Design) consisted of 11 varieties as treatments and three blocks, each treatment consisted of 100 plants. Fungicides in vitro test was arranged with 4x4 Factorial Design based on CRD (Completely Randomized Design). The first factor was fungicide (mancozeb 80%, benomil 50%, asibenzolarr-s-metil 1% + mancozeb 48% and sulfur 80%). The second factor was fungicides concentration (0 %
