Summary:This research aims to study the effects application of paclobutrazol and NPK on growth and flowering of zinnia (Zinnia elegans Jacq.). This research was conducted since Junuary until April 2013 in Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The experiment was conducted according to Completely Randomized Factorial Design 5 x 4 with three replications. The first factor frequency paclobutrazol consist of five levels i.e. 0, 250, 500, 750 and 1000 ppm. The second factor was application of NPK, they were 50, 75, 100 and 125 kg/ha. The data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) procedure followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 95 % level of significance. The result shows that frequency application of paclobutrazol and NPK effectively reduced height but not significant. The result shows that application more reduced in height of plant, higher compactness, brighter color of flower, and flower bloom simultaneously. Paclobutrazol�s and NPK application on 750 ppm and 125 kg/ha level produced shortest plant to create flowering pot plant.
