The amount of influence on asphalt toward pavement triggering the new alternative
of asphalt or modified bitumen with some added material. One of the modified
asphalt is asphalt retona. The aim of this report is to determine the proportion of
each material and the optimum bitumen content to be used on asphalt mixture
retona. Examination tests used include analysis of coarse aggregate, fine or mixed,
marshall test, specific gravity and absorption, and extraction. Based on the results of
the examination has been done, then the proportion of each material used is Bin I
21%, Bin II 21%, Bin III 26%, Bin IV 30%, cement 2% with optimum bitumen
content of 4.8%. Basically this mix is feasible for use in the South Arterial Road
Reconstruction project because it has been in accordance with the applicable
specifications |
