Motivation is important because the motivation in each individual employee individually would be expected to work hard and enthusiastically to achieve high productivity (Hasibuan, 2007). RSUP dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta implements PSBH method as an approach which is used in the efforts on quality improvement. The employees of the department staff RSUP dr. Sardjito who have been trained and to apply PSBH method called as a problem solver. Motivation is one of factor that is essential for a problem solver in the success of the implementation PSBH. Objective: To discover the relationship between the personality with the work�s motivation of problem solvers in the implementation of Problem Solving for Better Hospital (PSBH) in RSUP dr. Sardjito. Method: The type of this study is a descriptive correlational with cross-sectional design. Subject of this study is problem solvers who implement PSBH in RSUP dr. Sardjito. Samples in this study taken by purposive sampling and the determination of representation sampling in each profession with quota sampling. The data were collected by questionnaires. Those data were then analyzed by using Lambda. Result: Five people of problem solver had ekstrovert, 13 introvert person, and 29 ambivert person.The majority of respondents are highly categorized, in both intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. The majority of problem solver�s work motivation had enjoyment motivation orientation.The calculation of relationship between the personality with the work�s motivation of problem solvers produced result are r= 0,048 and p= 0,312, so it can be concluded that there is no correlation between the personality with the work�s motivation of problem solvers in RSUP dr. Sardjito. Kesimpulan : The majority of problem solver�s personality type is categorized as ambivert type. The majority of respondents are highly categorized, in both intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. The majority of problem solver�s work motivation had enjoyment motivation orientation. There is no correlation between the personality with the work�s motivation of problem solvers in RSUP dr. Sardjito.
