Description
Summary:Since 2010, the Department of Informatics at the Islamic University of Indonesia using Thesis Online Management Information System or commonly called SIMSOn. This information systems to meet the needs of students and faculty. Implementation is still relatively new SIMSOn has provided benefits and ease of management processes thesis online, although there are still some problems in its application. This study aims to evaluate the application of SIMSOn in the Department of Informatics at the Islamic University of Indonesia, by measuring the level of user acceptance using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which is equipped with a computer self-efficacy variable. Regression relationships between the TAM constructs examined using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS software. The study was conducted on 100 respondents SIMSOn users to submit questionnaires to the respondents which contains 24 indicators measuring latent constructs to answer eight hypotheses. Test results using α = 0,05 indicates that there is significant influence between Computer Self-Efficacy (CSE) on Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) with a correlation value of 0,505104, the PEOU on Perceived of Usefulness (POU) with a correlation value of 0,513637, the POU on Attitude toward Using (ATU) with a correlation value of 0,737466, ATU on Behavioral Intention to Use (BITU) with a correlation value of 0,647246, and BITU on Actual System Use (ASU) with a correlation value of 0,60261. Those factors are able to give users confidently in increasing the use of SIMSOn application to support thesis management process.
