PERANCANGAN LABORATORIUM CAMPURAN SPLIT MASTIC ASPHALT DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN BUTON NATURAL ASPHALT BLEND 75:25

The deposit of the Buton Asphalt has been estimated by Dinas Pertambangan in Sulawesi Tenggara (2007) is about 670 milion ton and as a native or a bitumen is about 163,9 milion ton. Whereas in 2011, the Buton Asphalt only 4,5% contribute in the whole of using asphalt in Indonesias pavement. There...

Whereas in 2011, the Buton Asphalt only 4,5% contribute in the whole of using asphalt in Indonesias pavement. Theres a gap between supply and demand by using Buton Asphalt in the pavement and for that reason, this research is conducted. SMA mix design has been choose in this research because of It has lower penetration value and higher softening point than Pertamina AC Pen 60/70 as an asphalt control. Greater characteristic showed by BNA Blend 75:25 than asphalt control will be expected as a better in Marshall characteristic. This research conducted to determine the characteristics of the mixture and then compared with a control mixture using the Marshall method. It gives an overview on the value of volumetric and tensile strength of the specimen. Laboratory mix design of SMA using BNA Blend 75:25 produces optimum asphalt content of 6,7% with a volumetric characteristic consist of density, VMA, VFWA, VITM, Marshall stability, flow, Marshall quotient (MQ), Retained Marshall Stability (RMS) and Tensile Strenght Ratio of 2,39 gr/cm3 [Yogyakarta] : Universitas Gadjah Mada 2013 Thesis NonPeerReviewed , Krisma Perwita Sari and , Dr. Ir.
