Development of higher educational system was planned to prepare quality and professional individual who able to deal the futuristic challenge. Hardiness and students� perspective of time will determina the level of academic achievement. This research was aimed to examine the effect of hardiness and future time perspective towards students academic achievement. This research was also aimed to examine the diagnostic accuracy of hardiness scale and future time perspective scale in detecting problem regarding students� academic achievement. The data was gathered by hardiness scale and sub scale future time perspective (ZTPI). The analysis method was regression and ROC. The result showed that together hardiness and future time perspective significantly correlate with students� academic achievement. Hardiness scale have good potential to be screening instrument to detect students� academic achievement problem.
