Summary:This study aims to find out and learn about the competence Notary Public who declared bankrupt in the property field in running its authority as a public official and to find out about the reappointment of notaries who have been declared bankrupt and was dishonorably discharged. This study uses normative juridical research. Normative research is conducted legal research to examine how library materials or secondary data. This type of research is the research library derived from primary legal materials, legal materials and secondary legal materials tertiary. Data collection tool used is the study documentation or literature that is by reading, studying, researching, identifying and analyzing secondary data related to this study. Then the data were analyzed using qualitative methods. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be stated that: 1). A debtor (Notary) is declared bankrupt in the field of wealth is not lost their reliabilities in running its authority as a public official, because theoretically Act No. 37 of 2004 on Bankruptcy and Suspension of Payment has stated that due to bankruptcy concerns only on wealth alone, not the personal self. 2). Notary who has been declared bankrupt and was dishonorably discharged can be re-elected as Notaries, because theoretically Notary not lose its authority as stated in Article 15 UUJN.
