Asbuton contains bitumen with variety amount of the bitumen between 10% -40%. Asbuton contains mineral materials, bitumen and water. The number of deposite of asbuton is amounted to 677.247 million ton (Asbuton Utilization Guidelines, 2006). Due to the large number asbuton reserved, it needs to be studied to determine the characteristics of asbuton usage in pavement layer. The aim of this research is to study the durability as one of characteristics of a pavement layer by utilizing BNA blend 75:25 as a binder. Durability testing was conducted to determine the value of durability index of HRS-WC pavement layers by using BNA blend 75:25. The value of durability index by using BNA blend 75:25 subsequently compared to the value of durability index by using asphalt pen.60/70 as a binder. The value of durability index was obtained after 14 days immersing period. The results of this study showed the value of durability index by using BNA blend 75:25 based on RMS and TSR values are 23,46% and 47,38% respectively. Whilst, the value of durability index of HRS-WC mixture by using asphalt pen.60/70 based on RMS and TSR values are 14,84% and 37,50%. The value of durability index by using BNA Blend 75:25 is greater then by using asphalt pen. 60/70 as a binder for pavement, both based on RMS and TSR. It shows that based on the durability point of view the use of asphalt pen.60/70 is better than the use of BNA 75:25 blend as binder in pavement layer.
