Summary: | The focus of this research is, (1) Implementation of Law Number 5 of
2007 on the Prohibition of Importation, Storage, Circulation And Producing And
Sales of Alcoholic Drinks in Mimika and the various factors that hinder the
implementation the law. The research data consists of primary and secondary
data. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. To
obtain valid data, the study employs a triangulation of data sources. Data were
analyzed using data analysis and EMIC ethics.
From the research, it was concluded that the implementation of the
policy has not been as expected. There are several factors that hinder the
implementation of Law No. 5 of 2007, namely: (1) socio-cultural factors,
penchant for consuming alcoholic beverages in the community, especially for
indigenous Mimika 7 (seven) parts, namely, Amugme, Damal, Dani, mee, Nduga,
Moni, and Kamoro, (2) lack of dissemination to the public. Socialization've done
only once and involves some certain circles, so that people do not understand the
negative effects of consuming alcohol and received sanctions if violated rules
Regulation Number 5 of 2007. (3) Attitude implementing policies that do not have
a genuine commitment to implement the law Number 5 of 2007's. |
