| Summary: | Enrichment is a planting activity beyond log-over area which has less the
natural regeneration of commercial plant species. Enrichment on Indonesia Selective
Cutting and Planting Silvicultural System (TPTII) aims to increase the productivity
of log over area (LOA) by Line Plantation System. Line Planting System causing
intensive management by open planting line and purposed species usage. Growth in
Line Plantation System needs much nutritions for its growth.
Nutrition returns through litterfall and decomposed litterfall on TPTII system
was essentially notified. Research aimed for knowing litterfall production and
litterfall decomposition in plantation line and inter plantation line at log over area, on
one year, five years, ten years plant age also natural forest as control treatment at PT
Sari Bumi Kusuma. The research was conducted on September 2010 to Februari
2011. Littertrap used for calculating litterfall accumulation, whereas litterbag
methods used for knowing litterfall decompostion.
Litterfall production at LOA one years old in planting is 2.27 ton ha-1 6
months-1 in planting line and 3.68 ton ha-1 6 months-1 in non- planting line. Litterfall
production at LOA five years old is 4.97 ton ha-1 6 months-1 in planting line and 4.98
ton ha-1 6 months-1 in non-planting line. Litterfall production at LOA ten years old is
4.03 ton ha-1 6 months-1 in planting line and 4.67 ton ha-1 6 months-1 in non-planting
line. LOA one year old plant at planting line in 1 ha for 6 months gave 920.6 kg
