The adjustment which needed is cable and connector configuration from sensor to data logger and format data changes. DI-718B US data logger must be supported by 3 pieces of DI-8B51-02 module, SD card for mass storage of data recording, and cable. DI-718B UD data logger must be tested before acquiring microseismic data. The objective of laboratory test is to get specification and characterization of data logger. The field test was conducted to compare between recording system of DI- 718B US and reference recording system. The result of laboratory test is inaccuracy 0,92%, precision 0,0034 V, nonlinearity 0,13%, and resolution 0,61mV, and dynamic range 78,28 dB. The signal to noise ratio value of DI-718B US is 86,05 dB. In field test, amplitude of data recording from data logger is different with reference recording system. So that is difficult to differentiate between microseismic signals and events. The processing of amplitude spectrum showed the same model and dominant frequency value between recording system of DI-718B US and reference recording system. Spectrum amplitude graph of recorded data with DI-718B US recording system has lower amplitude than spectrum amplitude graph of recorded data with reference recording system. The main disadvantage of this data logger is caused by DI-718B US has high instrument noise and lower resolution than reference recording system.
