ANALISIS MAKNA KOSAKATA HORANGI 'HARIMAU' BESERTA DIKSI DAN FUNGSI PADA PERIBAHASA KOREA: KAJIAN SEMANTIK

This graduating paper is conducted on 10 (ten) of proverbs using a ��� (horangi) �tiger� vocabulary in them. The main objective of this research is to describe the analogy meaning of the horangi word on those Korean proverbs as well as to know the diction and the function on each proverb. The objects of research are ten Korean proverbs with the horangi vocabulary which are selected randomly and researched by using theory of meaning to analyze thoroughly the analogy meaning of horangi word. Besides, in this research is used also the theory about the diction and the function of proverb. The data-gathering is done by collecting ten Korean proverbs translated into Bahasa. As for the analysis, it is done by analyzing the lexical meaning, the analogy meaning, the diction, and the function of the horangi �tiger� word in the translated proverbs before drawing the conclusion. From this research, it is found that the horangi word have a certain analogy meaning which around 6 (six) of them have the analogy meanings of �people�, the other 3 (three) have the analogy meanings of �things/condition�, and 1 (one) proverb has both meaning of �people� and �things/condition�. The result of analysis shows that all the diction of Korean proverbs has social diction or something which is related to life of the society and also has the function of proverb mostly having the function as advice.
