The residu used to make many component, such as plastic component commonly is
polyvinyl, polyurethane component, food acidulant, essterlubes, and detergen used to
alcalic salt, . Development opportunities of adipic acid industry in Indonesia is quite
large, considering that there is no manufacturer listed has been established in
Indonesia.
The plant is planned to operate for 330 days / year with a adipic acid production
capacity of 13000 tons / year. The main raw material required is as much as 11416.6668
ton / year of 99.9% cyclohexanol and 35958.9041 tons / year of nitric acid 65%. The
method used is the reaction cylcohexanol and nitric acid in the continues stirred tank
reactor at the temperature 110oC and the pressure 4 atm . The reaction is exotermic
reaction, so the reaction need a cooler for keep the temperature in the reactor. Then
Adipic Acid separetd from residu and the catalyst. Adipic acid cryztalized with
cryztallizer unit and then proccessed in the rotary dryer unit so that the product will be
solid. As a support, utility plant unit supplies the cooling water as much as 2.2485 tons /
ton product, 1406.25 kVA electricity, compressed air up to 259.7143 m3/hr, and 0.09682 tons / ton product.
The plant will be established in the city of Cilegon, West Java province, with
consideration Cilegon region near by Java Sea , and close to the harbor making it
easier to procure raw materials Cyclehexanol imported from China as well as the
marketing of the productadipic acid. Plant location also close to the Cindanau River, so
that the source of water for utility plant unit derived fromCindanau River West Java.
12,130,278.25 Calculation of economic evaluation results is fixed capital required equal to
$ + Rp9.525.978.783,37 and working capital equal to $6,460,555.32 +
Rp17.481.259.373,83. At 100% production rate, obtained ROI before tax of 29.66%,
ROI after tax of 14.83 %, POT before tax of 2.52 years, POT after tax of 4.03 years,
with BEP at 46.28 %, SDP at 23.31 %, and 24.22 % for DCFRR. Based on
consideration of the economic evaluation results, this adipic acid plant with capacity
13000 tons / year worth to be studied further. |
