Description
Summary:Department of Physics Engineering Building UGM with a land area of approximately 1743.102 m2 which is at -7.8 º latitude and longitude 110.4 º 30 º direction of north and a suburb of Yogyakarta. This study tried to simulate the thermal state of the lecture rooms on Department of Physics Engineering Building, Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta which should be a lot of use of air conditioning machines, therefore the need for simulation calculation of how much thermal energy needs by one - each classroom in order to base policy building officials in regulating the use of ventilation and air conditioning to create thermal comfort with high efficiency using Autodesk Ecotect 2010 software. The building is modeled to some zone system. Authors divide it by functions in space. So that the total amount to 88 zone, while 7 pieces zone of research, namely by TN 1, 2, 3, 4, Seminar, 6 and 7. The order total thermal load on the overall thermal simulation lecture halls namely: internal gain (2458.50 kWh), thermal conduction gain/ fabric gain (1550.221 kWh), thermal convection gain/ indirect solar gain (404.945 kWh), direct solar gain (348.918 kWh), ventilation gain (185.523 kWh) and inter-zonal gain (0.13 kWh). While the comparison of the total thermal load on each classroom is TN 6 (203.115 kWh), TN 2 (194.175 kWh), TN 3 (188.425 kWh), TN 1 (175.786 kWh), TN 7 (163.696 kWh), Seminar Room (153.778 kWh), and TN 4 (140.150 kWh).
