ETD s The increase of energy demand cause depletion of the world reserve oil. The increasing number of car become the main cause of energy demand and emission carbon product. The number of car in Yogyakarta is estimated up to 61020 unit of car in 2030. Based on this number, the demand of energy can reach 34.98 TJ per day or equivalent with the using of 1007.75 kL of gasoline and product 2424.10 tones of emission. s The hybrid electric car or HEV is the vehicle that combine conventional engine and charging energy. Hybrid car has an ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and baterry that supports electric motor. The main component of hybrid car is the combination of engine, generator, baterry, inverter, and electric motor. .91 The result of this research now that in 2030 consumption of energy can be reduced up to 8 TJ or 244.30 kL per day if the 50% number of car replace to hybrid car. If entire number of car replaced with hybrid car, the consumption will reduce 17.82 TJ energy or 488.60 kL gasoline per day. From the emission product, if the 50% number of car replaced to hybrid car, the emission will be reduced up to 617.47 tones. If entire number of car replace with hybrid car, the emission will be reduced up to 1234.95 tones.
