Summary:Indonesia�s Negotiation Strategy in settlement European Union�s flight ban on 2007-2009 Starting from the core relationship of safety and aviation, aviation safety is an essential core and an obligation that must fulfilled by each aviation actor. Sanctioned on flight ban as a warning of deviation on aviation safety. Also in EU eyes, they believe that a flight ban is just like the review of the bad track record on Indonesian aviation safety during the 2000s decade. Indonesia give a positive respond to settle the EU flight ban by selecting appropriate negotiation strategy. Collaboration chosen as an effective negotiation strategy. Collaboration consist of two phases are internal phase and external phase. Internal phase includes improvements of the structure and national aviation regulation. Furthermore, external phase as continuance of internal phase that�s includes the process of Indonesian negotiation strategy and the achievement of common and mutual interests between Indonesia and EU on EU�S flight ban. The result is in 2009 EU published the letter of partial flight ban revocation for 4 Indonesian airlines.
