Summary:Roles of knowledge within an organization become more critical currently. The needs to build competitive advantage also one of factors that the increase the capability of knowledge for company. With increasing number of international competition, globalization factors push the development of knowledge transfer to be done efficient and effectively. To be able to make it efficient, this research recognize the knowledge characteristic as tacitness, complexity, importance and learning intent. Analysis in this research using some research which elaborate the use of knowledge characteristic and how entity use that as competitive advantage. It shows that all of them have different importance for the company so that it has to be owned.
