Pulse jet engine that is designed in this study using a very simple valveless type (without valve), easy to make and low costs. Pulse jet engine type selected the first step in the development of design and other parameters used in pulse jet engine with a higher degree of complexity other. The test results valveless pulse jet engine used is well suited for tasks that ended with the destruction of the machine so it is used as propulsion cruising right Chime (guided cruise missiles) and aircraft for target practice (target drones). The purpose of this study is to understand the characteristics of pulse jet type valveless engine associated with the frequency of ignition, thrust and intensity noise. The study was conducted by using a pulse jet engine designs that have resistance to high pressures and temperatures. Materials used are made of stainless steel. The design has a simple concept without using valves (valveless) which refers to a previous study that the pulse jet engine that had chinese valveless design modifications such as not using a diffuser and dimensional. In this study the modification result to increase the volume of the combustion chamber valveless pulse jet engine models chinese valveless from 90.70 to 245.88 cm2. Exhaust pipe length is 69 cm with a diameter of 2.34 cm, while for the long inlet pipe diameter is 12.5 cm by 2.34 cm. From the tests can be obtained test results with the movement of the thrust as high as 5 mm and 8 mm shift. This is because the weight of the pulse jet engine that is large enough that the results of calculation of 0.946 kg thrust of 14.85 N. The test results achieved maximum ignition frequency of 214.2 Hz higher than calculation of the Helmholtz frequency of 201.68 Hz. On testing intensity produces high noise ranges on average 107.2 dB. From the results of this test pulse jet engine work can be achieved naturally with the help of temporary air supply from the compressor at start-up. It can be seen from the mechanism of action valvless pulse jet engine operates in a stable condition.
