D. ETD Every projects have different level of complexity. The more complex a project the more difficult to manage. Project complexity level has an impact on potential risks. To deal with the potential risks, it is required to implement project risk management. Project risk management must cover some sequences of activities to minimize risks that is adjusted with project complexity in order to increase organizational performance. In the contingency theory, organizational performance is affected by another variable usually called fit. There has been many researches about fit recently, but most of those researches were not using proper analytical schemes. The use of improper analytical schemes led to inaccurate results. Based on that statement, it is required to carry out an empirical study with proper analytical schemes to figure out the effect of fit based on current condition in Indonesia. An instrument to measure the level of project risk maturity, project complexity and organizational performance, specifically for ICT-project has developed in this research with the reference from prior research which general project type was the researchs object. This research used judgement sampling with 419 sample size with response rate at 12,89%. The collected data then used to determine instruments validity and reliability by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) method. After that the collected data was tested by some different statistical methods. One of those methods was linier regression to explore the effects of independent variables on dependent variable, so that the researchers were able to determine general description of ICT-project based organization in Indonesia. In the final stage, some mathematical models were produced to describe the effect of fit of project risk management, project complexity, and performance in ICT-project based in Indonesia. The result of this research is an empirically-proven valid and reliable instrument for ICT-project based research object. Generally ICT has a level three of project risk maturity, which means that organization has developed guides for project risk management but with the inconsistence implementation, and a level two for project complexity, which the projects carried out were classified to a complex project. The effect of project risk maturity (X1) towards organizational performance (Y) is shown on the following equation Y=0,619+0,947X1 which has R-square value of 14,5 percent. The results of fit analysis are the existence significant effect of moderation variable, mediation variable, and matching variable (sig.<0,05). It means that in order to achieve better performance, independent variables must be fit. Advanced analysis of fit found four internal consistence profiles. Ideal profile is generated from those alternative profiles. Ideal profile has performance mean with value 3,68 and concluded that the further a certain profile from ideal profile shows worse performance (smaller performance mean).
