Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency procedure which is used to keep blood oxygenation and tissue perfusion, to improve cardiac function in patients who experienced cardiac arrest (cardiac arrest). Nursing students to be prepared to be able to perform the procedure through a teaching learning phase in the classroom and in the laboratory. But over the years the course evaluation results are not always satisfactory, both theoretical and practical skills lab. So need to know whether the cause of the low yields of the students in the course. Purpose. Knowing the correlation between procedural knowledge with psychomotor skills Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) of nursing students. Research methodology. This research is a quantitative observational study with correlation study design. Research was conducted at the Academy of Nursing Sumedang regency, West Java. Population of this study was all third-year students in the academic year 2013-2014 which has been following the Emergency Nursing courses, covering the theory and practice at laboaratory that as many as 88 student . Results. Results of direct data collection with the following results: the average value of procedural knowledge with an average 32.14 and standard deviation 4:48. while the average value of psychomotor skills are average values 13.43 with standard deviation 3:52. Correlation test Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, with the following results: Pearson correlation test 0.305 with a probability of 0.004. Conclusion. Procedural knowledge of the student about basic CPR is as much as 31.2% graduated and the remaining 68.2% did not pass. Further data were obtained from the research is the value of basic procedural skills CPR average obtained by other research subjects under graduation standards. A total of 39.8% graduated and the remaining 60.2% did not pass. Having analyzed through Pearson correlation test showed that there is a significant positive relationship between procedural knowledge and basic skills of CPR in nursing students, regression analysis found that of the fifth sub-ordinate variables most closely related to the dependent variable is sub variables 5, namely the implementation of the knowledge of basic CPR [Yogyakarta] : Universitas Gadjah Mada 2014 Thesis NonPeerReviewed , NUNUNG SITI SUKAESIH and , dr.
