Description
Summary:Currently, mountain ecosystem has not been managed by assessing the actual potential of ecosystem. However, as a recharge area, this also benefit for water resource management. The varied components in mountain ecosystem, lead to the essential problem in making an ideal decision in order to manage this area. On the other hand, the high level of human activity patterns has been being expanded to upland area. Those initiate the needs to make an effective management of notably in upper part area. Therefore, the assessment of potential of mountain ecosystem which is compared to human activity is necessary in order to facilitate the area management. This research is aimed to identify the relation between ecosystem services value and human activity in upper part as well as agglomerate the areas which have similar characteristics by using clustering system. The research was conducted on mountain ecosystem in upper part of Bogowonto watershed. This was carried out by assessing components of Sumbing mountain ecosystem in village level such as vegetation cover services value as well as water resources services value as the representative of physical components
