ETD Development of globalization in this world is increasing rapidly. One of them is in the advertising industry. The sector of the billboards is the part of advertising industry also affected. Nowadays, the growing of the billboards spread throughout almost in Yogyakarta that created chaotic. If there is a catastrophic winds or heavy rain that can cause the billboards collapsed, it ruins infrastructure around billboards. Beside that, it endangers the safety of residents around the billboards. To provide an image about consequence of the collapsing billboards as well as to evaluate the distribution of billboards on some roads in the city of Yogyakarta, it needs to make a 3D animation model. The purpose of this research is to create 3D animation model if the billboards collapsed and the resulting impact in infrastructures such as electrical wiring, telecom cable network, roads, traffic and buildings around the billboards. This study was started from collecting masterplan data and rules of billboards which obtained from the Department of Local Tax and Financial Management Yogyakarta. Then did a field survey to get images, spatial data and attribute data of billboards. Furthermore, marked the data from masterplan and the field survey into Google Earth. After that, compared and evaluated the data between the masterplan with field survey data. Next, to give an image if the billboards collapsed then 3D animation model of billboards was made. The making of 3D animation model of this billboards is using Google SketchUp. The results of this study are 3D model in six billboards in the city of Yogyakarta, there are, on Abu Bakar Ali Street, Cik Di Tiro Street, Gandekan Lor Street, Gejayan Street, HOS Cokro Aminoto Street, and Jendral Sudirman Street. Where is the results of the 3D model will be combined with Google Earth. The 3D models were also made into animations. The animations show the danger area as well as providing information of the damaged infrastructure when the billboard collapsed. The evaluations of the billboard distribution on P. Diponegoro Street from 13 points billboards, 4 points matched and 9 points did not match. 13 points billboards on P.Mangkubumi Street are 7 points matched and 6 point did not match. 15 points billboards on C Simanjuntak Street are 3 points matched and 12 points did not match. 9 points billboards on Cik Di Tiro Street are 4 points matched and 5 did not match. From the analysis using a questionnaire with 20 respondents who have choosen Strongly Agree 30.83 %, Agree 52.5 %, and 15.83 % Disagree. It can be concluded that the 3D Animation Model of Dangerously Collapsing Billboard In Yogyakarta is well received by the respondents.
