Summary:Topic: The object of this research study is Liyangan site located in Temanggung District, Central Java Province. This study focuses on the architecture of buildings and the use of area at Liyangan Site. Problems: 1. How is the architecture of the buildings at Liyangan Site? 2. How is the use of Liyangan Site�s area? Research Objectives: 1. Describing the characteristics of the existing buildings at the site Liyangan. 2. Describing the use of existing area at Liyangan Site based on archaeological data positions. Methods: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. It means that collected data was analyzed and then interpreted. Data were collected through observation, both field and literature observations. This research tries to show about the architecture of the buildings at Liyangan Site with micro-scale studies. In addition, this study attempts to show the utilization of existing area at Liyangan Site with meso-scalestudy. Conclusion: Based on micro study, buildings at Liyangan site have special characteristics because they have a form of architecture that only consist of legs. The buildings at the Liyangan Site were not built in the same time. Based on meso-scale studies, the use of area at Liyangan site indicates there were worship and residential areas
