Summary:Since the proliferation of grinding roving around 2006 then their presence affected the milling business, which has existed previously settled. The presence of roving grinding one side benefit society, because people easily grind the grain was given, but on the other hand the presence of adverse circumferential milling grinder settled, mostly rice mengandalakan penyosohan business people as consumers. As a result, much effort milling settled out of business because they were unable to compete. In the village of fourteen Timbulharjo milling businesses are still operating now settled tnggal five milling business. While the district government alone can not do firmly against pnggiling itinerant existence on humanitarian grounds. Of exposure before this study aims to determine how the work ethic grinder businessman settled in running their business, why is there a grinding effort to survive but on the other hand there is the milling business folded. This study took place in the village of Timbulharjo, District Sewon, Bantul. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis as the method of choice. Informants involved in the study of seven members, namely, two informants is the urban village informants were five others are business owners settle massive rice mills that are active in the Village area Timbulharjo. To examine and dissect the grinding work ethic employers settle in running their business then used the theory of Max Weber's The Protestant Ethic is \"The Protestant Ethic\" and its relationship with the Spirit of Capitalism \"The Spirit of Capitalism\". In theory, Weber puts religion, in this case the Protestant religion as a source of motivation and creative elements that gave birth to the cultural works of his followers. He saw the relationship between religious behavior with the behavior of the economy, there are psychological conditions that are driven by a single religious tradition. Based on the results of the research, it is known that basically grinding employers look favorably settled in the works. They believe that to be successful it must work hard and strive to the fullest. Work is also considered as a form of worship and an obligation to make ends meet. The role of religion for some informants are crucial to the success of their business but there is also an informant who said that the most important thing for them is to work optimally and honest in trying without looking at the role of religious teachings.
