Summary:The purpose of this research is to describe the meaning analysis and the nuance of utsukushii, kawaii and kireida in sentence expansion technique was used to analyze the meaning of those three adjectives. Substitution technique used to find the meaning similarities and differences, and also the nuance of their utilization in a phrase or sentence. The analysis result are the adjectives utsukushii, kawaii, and kireida can be used to state an appraisal for the beauty of conversation�s topic or small flower noun, like flowers, girls, small animals, sound, handmade things and pictures. The differences meaning of these three adjective is, utsukushii means beautiful, kind, and harmonious. In this case, the adjective utsukushii cannot be substituted by kawaii and kireida. The adjective kawaii means beautiful or handsome, cute, funny, spoiled, childish, and selfish. This adjective cannot be substituted by utsukushii or kireida. The adjective kireida means beautiful, clean, honest, legal, and melodious. For expressing that meaning in the sentences, kireida cannot be substituted by utsukushii and kawaii. The adjectives utsukushii, kawaii and kireida have similar meaning but there is some differences in how they were used in sentences.
