Summary:Judge profession today is highlighted by profession amid the many communities in the context of law enforcement in Indonesia. However, working as a judge is not easy and demanding in its implementation. This study focuses specifically on the study of a judge who is on assignment in remote areas. Diverse challenges and difficulties faced by the judges in their profession. This study used qualitative methods to explore the phenomenology approach to the lives of the judges who were undergoing assignments in remote areas. The focus of research is on the psychological dynamics of the judges to achieve subjective well-being and factors - factors that influence it. Subject of this study involves three judges who have a period of employment of 5 to 10 years, with an age range of 30 to 50 years old. The findings of this study were about the psychological dynamics of the judges while on duty in a remote area that includes a number of phases - phase of life, namely, the initial process as a judge, a period of adaptation as a new judge, the phase terms with the situation, future placement in a remote area, phase adaptation in remote areas , the phase terms with conditions in remote areas and the placement of wisdom towards happy. Other findings are a number of factors that can influence the subjective well-being of the judges in the remote areas of family roles, attitudes toward work, and commitment to the principles of employment, conditions of dilemma between independence and social beings, and the role of co-workers.
