ETD Virginia Indonesian Company (VICO) plans to modify the refinery (plant) Satelllite Nilam 2 to build additional facilities or change the shape of the refinery. To support the plan required a method of 3D laser mapping to get an appearance of an object in three-dimensional coordinates, and then performed three-dimensional modeling based on point cloud from field results scanning. This three-dimensional modeling technology is used to design the structural and product design, where the technology is used as a tool to consider the financial aspects as well as the allocation of time required in the construction works. The purpose of this work is to model the point cloud data of Satellite Nilam 2 refinery into a three-dimensional model of an object using primitive object geometry such as tubes, balls and boxes. The materials used in this work is a point cloud Satellite Nilam 2 that have been registered between the scanworld with the local coordinate system in the scanner, photo field, drawing piping plans and drawings Process and Instrument Drawings (P&ID), sourced from VICO as a supporting documents path information and function of piping elements. Point cloud is processed using cyclone software 7.0 into three-dimensional models. It starts from the preparation tools and point cloud data collection. The collection of data in the form of point cloud data classification pipeline, instrument, civil structur, equipment, safety, Trey and Acces Stay Leader (ASL). Modelling process is done using a region growing method or pick up from the templates available on the software point cloud by matching the data with photograph on the pitch, P&ID and Piping plan Satellite Nilam 2. Tested the modeling results back to the photograph on the pitch, P&ID and Piping 2 Patchouli Satellite plan. In the process of testing the focus is the geometry of objects that can visually represent an object, not the complexity of an object.
