The development of a city heavily influenced by several aspects, one of which humans inhabit in it. In recent decades, the development of a city considered very fast. The rapid development of the city make some areas of the city lose identity. In its development, many cities or regions that previously had a distinctive image increasingly losing its appeal due to the construction that does not pay attention to the historical element in it. To maintain the image or identity of the region, we need a conservation management for the region. Kauman become one of the cultural preservation of buffer zones for the core area of the Kraton District cultural preservation. The development of the city of Yogyakarta is experiencing significant changes have an impact on changes in the buildings that is in the village in the city of Yogyakarta. One of the city's village are changing Kauman. Kauman as one of the village that have historical value to be one of the village that are of particular concern for the government of the city of Yogyakarta. To avoid and anticipate changes - changes in Kauman then made the effort to preserve the existing heritage buildings in Kauman. Preservation of cultural heritage buildings have stages that the government saw the identification of heritage buildings, which then can be made by identifying a cultural heritage building preservation policy. Preservation of cultural heritage buildings policy is based on the setting of the conservation of heritage buildings that have been made by the government, either by the central government or local government. After setting and policies on the preservation of cultural heritage buildings, and then be able to run the process of building cultural heritage preservation. While the stages of community building cultural heritage conservation can be started from an understanding of the preservation of cultural heritage buildings and then identify the preservation of cultural heritage buildings.
