ETD This field study aimed to determine the effect of macrofauna on the diversity and abundance of arthropods through growth and development of SRI-organic rice using completely randomized design with four treatments (control, Belostomatidae, Lumbricus sp., and Lymnaea sp.) with ten replications. This study was conducted in Demplot Research System of Rice Intensification - Organic (SRI - Organic) in area Sidorejo, Godean, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Results of this study showed that there was no significant difference in all parameters of observation, although there is a tendency that growth and development of rice given Belostomatidae better than rice treated others. The diversity and abundance of arthropods under and above ground both vegetative and generative phase of the plant, including low and tended to differ among treatments, though not significantly. Arthropod diversity both and below ground in the provision of treatment Limnaea sp. higher than the other treatments, whereas the abundance of arthropods on treatment Belostomatidae higher than other treatments.
