The number of immigrants in Yogyakarta encourage the growth of places that accommodate the lifestyle of immigrants, such as cafes . As had been widely grown evenly throughout the cafe and the Yogyakarta area . One of the very crowded cafe and a place of research of this thesis is the Legend Coffee. Legend Coffee existence visited by many people , especially young people who have the background different makes many kinds of language used in the interaction Legend Coffee . That is to say the use of the Java language as a mother language Yogyakarta people become a little used to interact in Legend Coffee. Emerging Legend Coffe make lifestyle changes in young people in the city of Yogyakarta. Where the current lifestyle of the urban community has experienced a shift in orientation that initially the status can bring in money, but this time the money may establish one's status. This research was conducted in the Legend Coffee located at Jalan Abu Bakar Ali numbers 24-28, Kota Baru, Yogyakarta during the three months from August 2013 to september 2013. The target of this research is the visitors and all the employees keeping in Legend Coffe has a strategic place and as one of the preferred gathering place young people of Yogyakarta . This study aimed to determine and describe the lack of interest in the teen mother tongue in public spaces such as Coffe Legend language in interaction. This study used qualitative methods. Data collected through direct observation, interviews, literature studies, and surf the internet. In this study it is clear that the pattern of interaction between individuals in the current global era undergone many changes and has a different diversity in language use, especially for people who have cultural backgrounds different. So to say a place visited by many immigrants will have a lot of regional variations in the interaction and even the use of the mother language will be eroded by itself because of the variability in the use of language interact . That is to say the use of language in a functional interaction can be adjusted by following the structural conditions and circumstances.
