Summary: | The aim of this research was investigating the population growth of Daphnia magna using waste water of aquacultured catfish as media and feed source with different concentration. The research was done in Fish Nutrition Laboratory, Fishery Departement, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Concentration of waste water were 0, 2, 4 and 6 %. D. magna was cultivated in 21 days with the density started at 10 individual/L. In this research, the density of D. magna, temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), CO2 free, alkalinity, density of plankton, ammonia and organic material were observed. Data were analyzed with Analysis of Variance. If significantly different was found, then used the Duncan�s Multiple Range Test. The result of this research showed that culture of D. magna can be done by waste water of catfish aquaculture in concentration 0, 2, 4 and 6 %, that got population peak (time to peak) continuously were 24 individu/L (21 days), 126 individu/L (11 days), 238 individu/L (12 days) dan 203 individu/L (16 days). |
