Objective: This study aimed to determine the correlation between physical activity and academic achievement in students at SMAN 4 Yogyakarta. Method: This study was observational with cross sectional. This study was done in SMAN 4 Yogyakarta on February to March 2013. The sample of the study was 83 students in 10th and 11th grade. The physical activity of the student was observed with International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and the academic achievement was observed with the mark of the semester report in year study 2012 � 2013. The analyzing used Spearman test. Result: There was no significant difference of academic achievement among students who involved in advance lesson with �=0.295 (�>0.05). The difference of academic achievement among students who involved in extracurricular and not involved was not significantly different with �=0.637 (�>0.05). There was difference in academic achievement in female and male students with the result of the �=0.002 (�<0.05). The result of correlation test between physical activity and academic achievement is �=0.707 (�>0.05). Conclusion: There was no correlation between physical activity and academic achievement in students at SMAN 4 Yogyakarta.
