Usaha Peningkatan Pendapatan Keluarga Sejahtera (UPPKS) is a government program in order to empower families through loan capital to make productive economic efforts to increase family income. UPPKS is sustainability program KB by BKKBN, despite the implementation is not a member UPPKS Akseptor KB. In Bantul, UPPKS lead by Badan Kesejahteraan Keluarga, Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Keluarga Berencana (BKK, PP dan KB) is then a hierarchy extended by Sub-districts in Bantul. This thesis entitled \"Effectiveness of Program Usaha Peningkatan Pendapatan Keluarga Sejahtera (UPPKS) in district Jetis Bantul, Yogyakarta.\" with focusing on the achievement of program goals UPPKS and the factors that affect the achievement program. Achievement of these objectives is evidenced by the development of productive economic activities UPPKS group which is at the core of the program UPPKS. Jetis UPPKS group in the district amounted to 82 groups (data in 2012) spread out in four villages namely Patalan (23), Canden (20), Sumberagung (17) and Trimulyo (22). The total number of members in 1004, covering 112 Member-sex male and 892 female. After passing through a series of studies, the authors explain that the program can UPPKS in Jetis effective in empowering family members with no marked and productive economic development. Although it managed to reach the goal, the authors found several violations committed by members in particular. Like for example, a loan is used for purposes other than economically productive activities. There is also the use of fictitious economy business or a neighbor who is not included UPPKS members. But these violations authors consider normal because a loan can be returned on time. Despite the 3-4 group that returns to capital loan exceeds the specified time limit. To minimize the occurrence of such violations of the rules regarding the authors recommend the deal UPPKS Group Member. Written agreements, stamp affixed and signed by all members witnessed by the program coordinator. With the agreement and the members have a legal obligation to obey. Furthermore, the authors will describe the factors that affect the achievement of program objectives UPPKS. First, policies and easy access and lightweight. Policy is more in terms of borrowing capital. Second, the sustainability of capital and the amount of borrowing capital. Interestingly there are many sources of capital for the group UPPKS ie APBD, SWADAYA, PEKM, TAKESRA, KOP AKU, KESGA, PNPM Mandiri, Bank Daerah, KUPK, and APBN. Third, sustainable the skills training and marketing.
