Summary:Cutting is a part of whole processing steps in PT. Inggress Malindo Ventures, this process is using Circular Saw to cuts the Door Sash. There will be an issue caused by using this process, which is for how long we be able to use the Circular Saw. Because of that issue there is a need to hold a research, which is aim to figure out micro stucture and hardeness of the Circular saw. Circular Saw is made of combined steel consist of carbon 0.96 %, Fe 82%, and Cr 4,6 %. The research begin with spectrometer trial, that is aim to find out the substance in Circular saw. The next step is using Heat Treatment to change the micro structure in Circular Saw, after that we need to do some hardeness testing using Vickers method to find out how hard Circular Saw is, before and after we admit that test. The last thing to do is Circular Saw micro stucture testing. Heat Treatment is using quench-temper andquenching methods with water coolant tool. We need to attain austenite phase which is 1000oC and tempering temperature are 300oC and 400oC, with time variation is between 25 and 30 for each tempering. The hardeness result of raw material testing must be 1.140 VHN, then for quench-temper are 724,21 VHN, 296,64 VHN, 290,78 VHN, and 285,12 VHN whereas for quenching is 824 VHN.
