| Summary: | Stroke has become the most disabling disease for the
sufferers. One of impairments to come is cognitive
impairment. The prevalence of stroke has increased. In
Indonesia, stroke happens in 17:10000 in rural areas and
22:10000 in cities. This study is aimed to know the
influence of the Al Qur�an memorization to working
memory in the post stroke patients with cognitive
impairment. This study was conducted using single case
subject with A-B-A design. The inclusion criteria of this
study was muslim, male or female, no aphasia, ever
suffered from ischemic stroke, get the cognitive impairment
after stroke,under 55 years old, mild and moderate
cognitive impairment, right hemipharesis. The exclusion
criteria is the patient who are still getting the medical
treatment, get dementia, right hemipharesis. From this
study, the result indicated that the working memory of
participants increased after the treatment using digit span
standard. |
