Description
Summary:Genetic gain trial is the genetic test plantation by comparing selected individuals from the progeny test or clonal test with genetic results, which material are from ordinary source (APB or un-improved material) resulting in the acquisition of real quantitative genetic value (reallized genetic gain). The research was conducted in a 9 years old genetic gain trial plantation in 5 forest management unit (FMU) Perum Perhutani: KPH Nganjuk, Kebonharjo, Semarang, Pemalang and Indramayu. Completely randomized block design (RCBD) with 25 treeplot planting design was using, 5 blocks, spacing of 3 x 3 m. Genetic material of this test is from seed production area (APB), 30 numbers from clonal seed orchard (CSO) and 2 numbers from shoot cut from the hedge orchard. Parameters measured were height and circumference, observation of soil profile, soil chemical analysis, rainfall data and calculation of economic value. The results show the value of genetic gain obtained is KBK vs. APB 3.19% for diameter and 0.89% for height, Shoots cuttings VS APB 27.37% for properties in diameter, 16.79% for height and 83,33 % for volume , Shoot cutting VS KBK 22.72% for diameter, 15.75% for height and 69.23% for volume. Nutrient content of the soil: carbon (C-org.), Organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, and magnesium (at 5 locations including the category of very low to currently, correlation with growth close to 0 indicates that the relationship is weak. Rainfall in 4 location of genetic gains trials are still normal for teak growth 1,235.20 to 2,133.45 mm / year except Pemalang FMU whish is 3.029 mm. Koefisien value of correlation (R) for the heght growth is 0.85 and diameter is 0.84 indicates that the relationship between rainfall and growth are strong, the higher the rainfall increased its growth. Based on 3 investment criteria: NPV, BCR and IRR all value are positive and worthy to be developed, and the most profitable investment is using plants from shoot cut with value of NPV Rp. 141.663.179, -, BCR 6.1 and IRR 26 %.
