Summary: | Background: Early psychosis means first episode of
psychosis or first onset of psychosis. Usually early
psychosis occurs during adolescence or early adulthood.
The occurrence of psychosis during this age is really
disturbing since this is the golden age for development
of physical, mental, and personality.
Objective: To determine the relationship between
regularity of control and relapse in early psychosis
patient.
Methods: Cross-sectional study with 100 subjects of
early psychosis patients and caregivers from Dr
Sardjito hospital, Ghrasia Hospital and Puri Nirmala
Hospital and other hospital in Yogyakarta who have
given their consent to involve in this research. Each
patient was given a control card. They need to bring
their control card every time they come to hospital for
control. The regularity of control is determined by
assessing the control card. Relapse reports are
assessed from caregivers report of relapse in early
psychotic patients and re-hospitalization report.
Results: Not control group (55,6%)has the highest
percentage of relapse compared to the other two
groups(10,6% and 6,8%). There is statistically
significant different between not control group,
