Summary: | A Website is an effective and efficient promotion media. Its production expense is low but it has a broad range of promotion. However, the condition of the tourism website in East Nusa Tenggara is not optimal yet since it is not well-integrated with the supporting system involved in tourism industry such as transportation, travel agency and accommodation. This makes tourists have to visit some other sites to search and plan the trip themselves.
TRS provides a conversation feature with the user, and then ask them some questions to produce one or more recommendations related to users tourism demand. Therefore, the design of interface becomes an important issue in order to provide convenience to users when they interact with the application. The evaluation method of User Interface involves users in the focus group discussion (FGD), interviews and through questionnaires. In addition, the proposed interface model is implemented in the form of a prototype web-based application.
The result of this research is a FDD to compose a model of a business process, UML consisting of Use-case Diagram, Activity Diagram and Sequence Diagram. The TRS user interface model consists of a former construction model, a shifting model and a recommendation model. Respondents consider the proposed user interface model attractive, easily accessible in accommodating the need of any travel and can be implemented in the form of web-based application prototype. It takes a different way of delivering an information and navigation to the domestic and international tourists. Yet two options are available for travel planning, whether by using travel agency or a personalized service. |
