YOGYAKARTA , Muhammad Andi , Noor Akhmad Setiawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. ETD Pusat Layanan Internet Kecamatan (PLIK) as one of the Universal Service Obligation (USO) which is run by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in several areas received less attention from the public that its presence underutilized and becomes useless. Knowledge of perception public acceptance to PLIK is one of the important factors to the survival PLIK program. This study conducted an analysis to determine the level of public acceptance and the factors that influence the level of public acceptance to PLIK both as a technology and as an entity that provides the service. This study used a modified TAM model by adding variables of computer self-efficacy, quality of service and user satisfaction. Modifications done in the hope of giving a more detailed explanation of the factors affecting public acceptance of PLIK. Data were collected through interviews, observation and a survey by distributing questionnaires to 134 users PLIK in several districts in Bantul. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Model (SEM) with modeling technique Part Least Square (PLS). The results showed that the level of public acceptance to PLIK in Bantul are in a category quite well, which means that people accept the existence PLIK in their environment but not optimal in their utilization. The results also show that all the variables included in the model along with TAM additional variables tested in this study influence the public acceptance toward of PLIK.
